Zoned out, constant haze in head and dumbed down, mouth guard preventing him from speaking, his body slacking go from all the bones and new weight in muscle, wearing a sleeveless school sports shirt and football pants. He’s turning out great. The formula works fantastic. His bro is smiling because it’s a great transformation. He loved his after all. This is the formula.

He’s looking right at you. He knows you want to be him. Suddenly you throw on a basketball jersey, some relief. He’s still looking. You put some basketball shorts on. Another feeling of relief. He starts to smirk. You start to smirk. You grab your cap and put it on. He got swag. You got swag.

He is you.

He came home from the store wearing this new bball jersey and a shorter haircut. What happened to his button down shirt? His parents didn’t notice his son seemed different. A bit dumber, well really dumb. Instead of intelligent discussions, all he could focus on was sports and grunting. And a new cocky attitude too.

He took the selfie and sent it to his bro. He loved his birthday gifts. A sleeveless shirt and a new iPod with a playlist already on it. Awesome songs. He sees pictures of this scrawny nerdy kid in his phone from his high school days and laughs like an idiot. Well, he is now. Even calls himself by a stereotypical jock name. Really though, Josh is happy. He has purpose. His parents back home will barely recognize him or know him even.
